1972, with a resin swirl done by Gary's original glasser. They called it Chocolate Fudge. He made it for a friend, went to Brazil, and lost track of both the friend and the board.
Years later someone called about a backyard sale in California with a board that looked like wood and carried his logo. He bought it back sight unseen and drove down.
Gary rode it at K-38 and busted it up inside two months. He was chasing the feel of a David Nuuhiwa-inspired shape at the time.
Gone and back again.
