A friend had it painted all over in grey, covering everything up. Gary kept looking at the shape underneath.
A late 70s Pipeline board. He heard it was a Buddy Dunphy but did not have the full story. Buddy and Gerry Lopez started building boards together in Buddy's garage, got good enough to be hired at Surf Line Hawaii, and Gerry went on to shape with Brewer and then to start Lightning Bolt.
The foil, the rails. It is perfect.
