Fish - 5'10" California Agave - Twin Fin

Gary built this one for The Boardroom. The show asked shapers to make something that reflected their own family, so he inlaid a heart on the deck for his uncle, who was awarded the Purple Heart in the Second World War. The inlay is cut from purpleheart wood.

Everything else is California agave, Agave americana, the roadside century plant. Gary sourced the stalks, cut them, milled them, machined them, glued the blank and shaped it. No foam, no outside blank, nobody else's hands on it.

"Each one I pick and kind of space it so it looks like they're stringers," Gary says.
