The first board Gary ever shaped was a replica of a Bob McTavish Plastic Fantastic Machine that Skip Frye brought back from Australia. Skip loaned it around Windansea, everyone got a ride, and Gary traced its outline onto a blank and shaped his first board off it.
This is that board again. The original was eight foot; this one is seven, stringerless, glassed by the same team Gary started with. Solid fiberglass glass-on fin.
Still relevant if you want to actually surf it.
